Volunteer: TransporterTransporters Volunteers serving in this capacity will transport food from the USPS to the designated pantry.Volunteers in this role should have a reliable vehicle for transporting collected food items.Transporters must be licensed drivers.Volunteers serving in this capacity can load, unload, sort and carry collected items if they are able to, but it is not a requirement if there are physical limitations. The vehicle and driving time is valuable to us.We have been invited to participate in the 2027 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive benefiting four food pantries in the area - United Way Welcome Pantry, Loaves and Fishes, Ecumenical Food Pantry, and the Salvation Army Food Pantry. Saturday, May 1st beginning at 8:00 am and running until roughly 4:00 or 4:30 pm (or when sorting and distributing is finished) Please note that all volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes for safety! Transporters will be traveling between the Welcome Pantry and the post office.
